Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

GIWS is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer to reduce risk across servers, networks, cloud platforms, web applications, and operational processes. You will translate threats and vulnerabilities into prioritized controls, evidence, remediation, and measurable improvements.

What you will do

  • Harden systems, networks, cloud workloads, identity, and web-facing services.
  • Operate security monitoring, alert triage, vulnerability management, and remediation tracking.
  • Assess application and infrastructure changes and advise teams on secure implementation.
  • Coordinate incident containment, investigation, recovery, evidence, and post-incident actions.
  • Maintain security standards, runbooks, risk records, and compliance evidence.

What you bring

  • 3+ years in security engineering, SOC, incident response, or infrastructure security.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, networks, web security, IAM, logging, and common attack paths.
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, WAF, and cloud-security controls.
  • Ability to communicate risk clearly and work constructively with technical teams.
  • Recognized security certifications are advantageous.

  • Actionable monitoring with faster detection, containment, and recovery.
  • Security controls that are documented, tested, and embedded in delivery workflows.
